SCE&G employees are skilled, highly-trained professionals dedicated to ensuring safe and reliable electric generation. As many as 3,000 jobs will be created during construction of SCE&G’s two new nuclear plants and up to 800 permanent positions when the plants begin operating.
Located near Columbia, South Carolina, V.C. Summer Nuclear Station is a 966 megawatt plant that supplies approximately 19 percent of SCE&G customers’ electricity. 3 to 5 years experience in technical training of electrical or mechanical personnel at an operating nuclear power plant
5 plus year experience supervising control room operations at an operating nuclear power plant; PWR experience and an SROC preferred
experience operating a nuclear reactor at either an operating commercial nuclear power plant or Navy Nuclear power operations experience
experience operating a nuclear reactor at either an operating commercial nuclear power plant or a Navy Nuclear power operations experience – EWS, EOS or BS in Nuclear Technology required
a BS in Engineering and 3 to 5 years systems/ programs engineering experience at an operating commercial nuclear power plant required
a BS in Engineering and 3 to 5 years experience in Probability Risk Analysis Engineering at an operating commercial nuclear power plant required
a BS in Engineering and 3 to 5 years quality systems engineering experience at an operating commercial nuclear power plant required
5 plus years experience managing electrical or mechanical maintenance at an operating commercial nuclear power plant is required; a BS degree if preferred
