SOUTH CAROLINA ELECTRIC & GAS COMPANY (SCE&G)
SCANA Corporation's principal subsidiary, SCE&G generates, transports and sells electricity to 639,300 customers and purchases, sells and transports natural gas to 302,500 customers (each as of December 31, 2007). SCE&G's business experiences seasonal fluctuations, with generally higher sales of electricity during the summer and winter months because of air conditioning and heating requirements, and generally higher sales of natural gas during the winter months due to heating requirements. SCE&G's electric service territory extends into 24 counties covering nearly 16,000 square miles in the central, southern and southwestern portions of South Carolina. The service area for natural gas encompasses all or part of 35 counties in South Carolina and covers more than 23,000 square miles.

Resale customers include municipalities, electric cooperatives, investor-owned utilities and federal and state electric agencies. Predominant industries in the areas served by SCE&G include synthetic fibers, chemicals, fiberglass, paper and wood, metal fabrication, stone, clay and sand mining and processing and textile manufacturing.

SOUTH CAROLINA GENERATING COMPANY, INC.
The company owns and operates Williams Station and sells electricity to SCE&G.


SOUTH CAROLINA FUEL COMPANY, INC.
The company acquires, owns and provides financing for SCE&G's nuclear fuel, fossil fuel and sulfur dioxide emission allowances.


PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF NORTH CAROLINA, INC.
d/b/a PSNC ENERGY

Headquartered in Gastonia, North Carolina, PSNC Energy is a regulated public utility engaged primarily in purchasing, transporting, distributing and selling natural gas to approximately 425,000 customers in the north central, Piedmont and western areas of North Carolina. The service area encompasses 28 counties and covers approximately 12,000 square miles in North Carolina.

Industrial customers include manufacturers or processors of textiles, chemicals, ceramics and clay products, glass, automotive products, minerals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, metals, electronic equipment, furniture and a variety of food and tobacco products.

Based in Atlanta, SCANA Energy is the second largest marketer of natural gas in Georgia, serving more than 475,000 customers. The company has a regulated unit, SCANA Energy Regulated Division, selected by the Georgia Public Service Commission to serve as the state’s only regulated natural gas provider.

CAROLINA GAS TRANSMISSION CORPORATION (CGT)
Carolina Gas Transmission Corporation (CGT) is an interstate natural gas transportation company that delivers natural gas to distribution systems and direct industrial customers. Through its existing pipeline system of approximately 1,500 miles, CGT can provide open access interstate pipeline services to new and existing markets in Georgia and South Carolina. As an interstate pipeline under the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, CGT can expand its system into surrounding states to serve new markets and meet customer demand. CGT's services include firm transportation (FT), interruptible transportation (IT), and interruptible parking and lending (PAL).

CGT was formed through the 2006 merger of two of SCANA Corporation's wholly owned subsidiaries: SCG Pipeline and South Carolina Pipeline Corporation.

SCANA COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
SCANA Communications offers a wide range of leading edge communications solutions in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. The company operates fiber optic LONG-HAUL and ACCESS networks throughout South Carolina and in parts of North Carolina and Georgia, and leverages the fiber of its partners, Palmetto Net and FRC, which are regional Interexchange carriers.

SCANA Communications also offers clients with Point-of-Presence (POP) equipment co-location at designated sites along the fiber route and has a state-of-the-art data center in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. In addition, the company offers a full suite of communication tower services designed to meet the needs of both fixed and mobile wireless providers. Services include site acquisition, zoning support, build-to-suite, site management of existing towers, shared tenant co-location, and fiber backbone access.

The other SCANA subsidiaries listed above are not the same company as PSNC Energy, and have separate management and separate employees. These other SCANA subsidiaries are not regulated by the North Carolina Utilities Commission or in any way sanctioned by the Commission. There is no advantage to customers of PSNC Energy if they buy products or services from the other SCANA subsidiaries. A customer does not have to buy products or services from the other SCANA subsidiaries in order to continue to receive the same safe and reliable natural gas service from PSNC Energy.
