July 23, 2004, Columbia, SC, - SCANA Corporation (NYSE: SCG) reported earnings for the three months ended June 30, 2004 of $60 million, or 54 cents per share, compared to $74 million, or 67 cents per share for the second quarter of 2003. Excluding from the 2003 results a net after-tax gain of $32 million, or 29 cents per share (related to the monetization and valuation of the Company’s telecommunications assets), GAAP-adjusted net earnings from operations for the second quarter of 2003 were $42 million, or 38 cents per share.
