Columbia, S.C., Dec. 13, 2004 - Columbia attorney Frank Mood has been named senior vice president, general counsel for SCANA Corporation effective Jan. 1, 2005.
Mood, who practices with the firm Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, has extensive experience working with SCANA, including representing South Carolina Electric & Gas in regulatory actions. Mood will be replacing Tom Arthur as senior vice president, who is retiring after 22 years of service.

Mood, who has been practicing law for 37 years, is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the American Bar Association. He recently served as interim dean of the University of South Carolina School of Law until January of 2004. He is a permanent member of the Judicial Conference of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a past chairman of the Board of Visitors of The Citadel, from which he graduated, and he is a graduate of University of Virginia Law School.
