Gastonia, N.C., April 7, 2004 - Energy Analyzer, a new online tool offering customers specific information about their monthly natural gas bill, is now available in the account management section of PSNC Energy's Web site, www.psncenergy.com.

The online tool, which has been available to PSNC Energy customers since earlier this year, offers detailed monthly reports to help customers better understand their bills. Information available on the site includes:
  • Average costs per day and season
  • Average natural gas therms (unit of measurement shown on bill) used per day
  • Temperature changes and how they can affect a bill
  • A glossary of terms and more

"We are pleased to offer this convenient tool to our customers," said PSNC Energy President and Chief Operating Officer Jerry Richardson. "The information provided by the Energy Analyzer should assist our customers in managing their energy use and that, of course, can have a direct impact on their bill."

PSNC Energy is franchised to serve a 28-county service area in North Carolina and distributes natural gas to approximately 395,000 winter-peak customers in 96 cities and communities including the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas in the north central part of the state; the Concord, Statesville, Gastonia, and Forest City areas in the Piedmont; and the Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, and Sylva areas in the western part of the state. More information about PSNC Energy is available through the company's web site at www.psncenergy.com.
