SCE&G Names Stephanie Jones to Lead Corporate Philanthropy Division

Cayce, S.C. (Nov. 20, 2013) –SCANA Corporation has named Stephanie Jones supervisor of corporate philanthropy and community affairs for South Carolina Electric & Gas Company. In this role, she will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the company’s community involvement programs in South Carolina including corporate giving, corporate memberships, employee volunteerism, employee matching gifts and community campaigns.

Jones has 13 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations and joined SCE&G in 2011 as a senior public affairs specialist.

“Giving back to the community has always been a core value of our company’s culture,” said Cathy Love, SCANA’s vice president of marketing and communications. “We are confident that Stephanie will provide great leadership and energy in this role as we work with many wonderful organizations that are also dedicated to serving our communities.”

A native of Lexington, S.C., Jones is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Corporate Communication. She has been named distinguished alumni of the College of Charleston Department of Communication, and in 2007, she was honored as the college’s “Young Alumna of the Year.” She was selected as one of the top “20 under 40” business professionals by The State in 2007, and she is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Columbia. Jones is actively involved in the community serving as a board member and vice chair for communications of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, board member of Rolling Readers of the Midlands, and a member of the national and South Carolina chapters of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators.
