December 15, 2004, Columbia, SC, - SCANA Corporation (NYSE: SCG) announced that, at a meeting held today, the South Carolina Public Service Commission (SCPSC) approved an overall increase of $41.4 million, or 2.89 percent, in the retail electric base rates for South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, SCANA's principal subsidiary.
